Where do I go for my appointment?

The service is held at the Oldham Integrated Care Centre. This is in the town centre opposite the bus station. We operate out of level five of the building. Your appointment letter will give all the information you need. If you need to bring children with you, please arrange for someone to supervise them during your appointment.

What happens during my appointment?

During the appointment, you may be required to have an investigation such as a blood test or a biopsy. This may take place on the same day or you may need to come back another time. If you need to have a follow-up appointment, then this will be offered at a time that is convenient to you.

If you need medication or a dermatological cream, a medication request will be sent to your GP and you will contact your GP to obtain the relevant prescription.

How long will the appointment take?

Each appointment is dependent on your needs so appointment times will vary however, most first and follow up appointments will usually take 15 minutes and minor surgery 30 minutes. Please allow up to one hour for your appointment.

  • Do not bring children and family members to your appointment unless necessary. Please be aware if you are having a minor surgical procedure, you will not be able to bring children into the surgical room.
  • Translation services will be provided if needed do not bring family members for this purpose.

How do I cancel or change my appointment?

If you cannot make the appointment, please contact us as soon as you can on 0300 247 0051. This will enable us to use the time to arrange an appointment for someone else.

If you do not attend and we do not have any contact from you within one week of the appointment, then you will be discharged from the service.
